Description
WEICON Threadlocking Varnish is a water-based, non-hazardous lacquer for threadlocking, marking and sealing. The varnish is free from organic solvents (VOC-free and HAP-free). It is non-hazardous and requires no labelling, which significantly reduces risk during use. The threadlocking varnish adheres excellently to almost all materials, offers good resistance to liquids and chemicals, and is UV- and weather-resistant for at least 4 years according to DIN EN ISO 2810. The marking lacquer is non-conductive and has good breaking properties. For a water-based system, the threadlocking varnish dries quickly (dust-dry after approx. 10 minutes; fully cured after approx. 12 hours) and is highly resistant to temperatures from –80 °C to +120 °C. The sealing lacquer serves as a removable lock, prevents tampering, covers electrically conductive parts and protects against handling-related contamination. The threadlocking varnish is indispensable for the visual inspection of all types of screw connections and protects against tampering and unauthorised loosening of screws and joints. It also documents quality assurance, production control and product testing through a lacquer seal. The threadlocking varnish can be used in many areas of industry and in skilled trades and is available in red, yellow and green.
